Japanese national to donate prosthetic legs to bar exams blast victims

Here is another gesture of philanthropy of the Japanese.

The Nippon Foundation will fund the prosthetic limbs of the two victims of the bar examination blast incident in September.

Nippon Foundation president Yohei Sasakawa said that he has agreed to finance the prosthetic limbs of Raissa Laurel and Joanna Ledda after learning about the incident.

Sasakawa visited the Philippines to ink an agreement that will provide PhP315 million (US$7.25 million, JPY590 million) grant to the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center to establish the first Prosthetic School in the Philippines with the cooperation of the Physician for Peace Foundation, and the Cambodia Trust.
