CNN denies Morgan Freeman death hoax came from them

The rumor about Morgan Freeman is false.
In a Twitter message, CNN denied reports that the famous American actor Morgan Freeman has died.
Freeman's publicist, Stan Rosenfeld, told CNN, "He is very much alive."
CNN denied that the hoax came from them, and vowed to aggresively investigate the case.
The rumor caused an uproar from Freeman's fans. Here are some of them:
rowens41 Who is CNN to play God? That's Morgan Freeman's job.
2bigmanipopcorn RIP Morgan Freeman. Sad.
lukenavarro Morgan Freeman was dead now he is alive again. Where's my boomstick?
mikespits RT @Missinfo people retweeting a CNN tweet about morgan freeman....if u go to @CNN, that tweet does not exist.
So, to all Morgan Freeman fans, like me, let's all stay calm that the 73-year-old is very much alive.
Freeman has won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
He was also nominated for his performances in Driving Miss Daisy, Invictus, Street Smart, etc.
