A television talent was found dead after hanging herself in her apartment located in Meguro Ward, Tokyo on Thursday at 2:00, the police said.
Miyui Uehara, 24, was discovered dead when a friend visited her place and saw her hanging by a door with a belt and scarf tied around her neck, in a report by Japan Today.
She was rushed to the hospital by the cops where she was pronounced dead.
The TV model was the youngest of ten children and hails from Kagoshima Prefecture, in southern Japan.
The Mainichi Daily News said Uehara left an informal will and the police believe she committed suicide.
She was discovered as a TV talent at age 18 when she was working as a hostess in a bar in the capital city. Uehara had since appeared on variety shows and photo books.
On her last blog entry on Tuesday at 8:00, the TV personality said she has not been able to find true love.
