Libyan gang rape victim on the way to the US to seek refuge

A woman who captured worldwide attention for claiming she was raped by 15 men of Libya's strongman Muammar Gaddafi and found refuge in Qatar only to be deported back to the country, is now on the way to the US.
Iman al-Obeidi was flown early in the morning Sunday out of Benghazi through the help of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to Iman's sister Marwa, The Daily Mail said.
"We just want a chance for her to be treated psychologically and to rest. My sister has just been through so much," Marwa told AP.
It was not immediately known where in the US al-Obeidi will be.
The attached YouTube video shows what happened on 26 March in Rixos Hotel in Libya's capital.
As she was relaying her story to a group of international media people, she was jumped at and dragged away by government minders.
After several days of disappearance, she resurfaced in Tunisia and then in Qatar.
The rape victim was deported back to Libya against her will.
The government said al-Obeidi was a thief, prostitute and drunkard, said Al Jazeera.
