hello from hong kong 4

haler. i arrived here last night at around 9pm local time. weather is warm at 26-28C and sort of humid. the hotel is five minutes away from the airport by limousine. a new hotel and the amenities are a little above my head. lolzzzz no need to call the operator for your bills, everything is on the boob tube. and since im a bit far from downtown i cant see much of the place.

took breakfast in a nearby mcdonald`s afterwhich the three of us, my prof, a post-doc and myself had coffee. i saw a pinay servidora from mindanao who had been here for 12 years already. had a photo taken together, of course. these japanese are so trivial that they asked the pinay about the population of HKG. of course, the pinay would have no idea about it, noh?

it`s good that this post-doc is like mcgyver. im able to use the wireless Internet from our hotel room. i hope we can do it too in SL. will leave for colombo 8hrs from now. i hope that the suicide bombers there will behave during my entire 3-weeks stay in Kandy. leche.

well, katatapos lang namin mananghalian. bumili na lang kami ng peking duck, kanin, manga (double g ba yon?), lanzones, papaya, bayabas at kapamilya ng siniguelas pero di naman kasarapan. we ate like there`s no tomorrow lolzzzz ang sarap ng duck at ayaw paawat ang oilinezz. ang tamis ng manga. parang sa atin ata galing iyon? at panalo ang lanzones. mukhang di sa atin galing ang lanzones dahil hindi mapait ang buto. busog meals talaga. sa hotel room na lang namin kinain, nakatipid pa. baka sa eroplano mya2 pa mag konsiyerto itong mga kinain ko hahaha

hanga rin itong mga sakang sa kalinisan dito. sabi nila ay pareho raw sila, korean at mga chi-inese sa kalinisan sa paligid di raw tulad nating mga pinoy. waja tink?

isang oras na lang at check out time na kami. tulog muna ako ng kaunti bago umalis at mahaba haba pa ang byahe. gow!

as always, HKG is my final destination before going home. it has been cloudy since my arrival yesterday, saturday 27 may. this morning is drizzling. since the hotel was full upon my arrival, they had to upgrade my accommodation to a better room for the same price. when you're lucky, you're in luck. hahaha

took my time sleeping to catch up and it feels good to be in a not-so-humid envi. i saw in discovery channel about the fire mummies of the philippines unearthed in the cordilleras. looks interesting, please check it out. videos to follow.

will fly back to sapporo in 2.5 hrs' time.
