A very inconvenient truth.
Former US Vice President and environment lecturer Al Gore left his car engine running during his one-hour lecture on sustainable development at the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg, Sweden on Wednesday, 27 October.
His blunder was complicated by the fact that he asked attendees to come to the event using public transportation to reduce carbon emissions while he came from the airport using a rented car.
In Sweden, it is prohibited to leave the car engine running without its driver for over 1 minute.
But reports say that Gore did not appear to have been fined.
