Candle-lighting for 7-year-old girl beaten to death by parents

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines--A local radio station, dyEZ Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod, has initiated the holding of a candle-lighting ceremony to commemorate the death of a 7-year-old girl who died on 27 October after allegedly receiving multiple injuries from her parents in their home.
The ceremony will happen at 12 noon, 12 November (PHL time) at the San Sebastian Cathedral.
Her name now revealed, Allana Blance Nolan celebrated her seventh birthday on 30 October--three days after she met her tragic fate.
Studying prep before she died, one teacher recalls her to be a "serious, almost brooding kid," who was always accompanied to school by her father, Bernard, at noontime.
Weeping upon the knowledge that it was her pupil who died, the teacher said that she found it strange that nobody informed the school why Allana did not attend school months before her death. It was only yesterday that she knew of the tragic incident.
The mentor called the phone number left by Bernard but the person who answered said that it was the wrong number.
In her last phone call early this month, the person who answered the telephone simply hung up.
