Kuya Efren, as he is fondly called tells Philippine President Noynoy Aquino that the government should encourage the people to be aware that the change they seek to have is everybody's responsibility.
The 29-year-old founder of the Dynamic Teen Company that offers Filipino youth an alternative to street gangs through education, adds that not because the president says "Kayo ang Boss ko," [You're my boss.] in his inaugural speech, Filipinos will not do anything to improve their conditions.
He spent a month in the US to attend the 2010 CNN Hero of the Year, and gather support for his educational projects in the Philippines.
