Food Sale in Sapporo

札幌在住のフィリピン出身者より、１０月４日に北海道大学で行われたチャリティイベント「ケツアーナコンサート」を支援してくださった皆様に心からの感謝をいたします。コンサートの収益はフィリピンの台風被害者のもとへすでに贈ることができました。

ケツアーナ台風後、一週間の間にさらに台風がフィリピンを襲ったことはご存知だと思います。その結果、8００人以上が直接被害を受けて亡くなりました。洪水や浸水からの病気が広がっており、伝染性の病気により１００人の方がすでに亡くなりました。

札幌在住の私たちフィリピン人は洪水の被害者への支援をさらに増やすことが必要だと考えています。そこで、引き続きの支援活動として、フィリピン料理を販売しようと思います。今回は、皆様にもフィリピンの料理や飲み物を味わっていただき、支援を広げようと思います。伝統的なフィリピン料理のアドボやエンブートーフ（フィリピンソーセージ）、パンシット（フィリピンラーメン）、ビコ（おもち）など、おいしい料理がたくさんあります。３００円から５００円でご提供いたします。お時間があり、味わったことがない食べ物を食べようと思う方は、この支援活動に参加してください。お会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

The Filipinos in Sapporo would like to extend their profound gratitude to all those who supported the charity activity called Ketsana Concert held on 4 Oct 2009 in Hokkaido University. The proceeds were already sent to the victims of typhoon in the Philippines.

As you may already know, another storm struck the Philippines a week after Ketsana. More than 800 people had died as a direct result of the storms. Recently, flood-borne diseases had started to further devastate the Philippines where more than 100 had died of Leptospirosis.

The Filipinos in Sapporo deem it necessary to augment the help for the flood victims. That is why we came up with another activity, a Food Sale. This time, we want to share a bit of the Philippines with you through our cuisine and drinks. Taste and enjoy the mouth-watery foods like adobo, embu-tofu (Philippine sausage), pancit (Philippine ramen), biko (rice cake), and many more. Each serving of food cost between 300 and 500 yen. If you have time and want to explore on a new taste, we invite you to this fundraising activity. We hope to see you there!
